VISIONWEB AND FIRST INSIGHT ANNOUNCE AGREEMENT TO EXPAND INTEGRATION CONNECTIVITY
Return to the Top
Expanded Connectivity will Allow Customers of MaximEyes Practice Management Software to Order Seamlessly to More Labs in the VisionWeb Network
Austin, TX – October 1, 2008 - VisionWeb, the premier provider of technology services to streamline the eyecare practice, and First Insight, developers of maximEyes practice management/electronic medical records software and paradEyes.com (online optical ordering resource), announced today an agreement to connect more labs in the VisionWeb network with maximEyes software. The agreement will enable VisionWeb-connected labs without prior connectivity to the maximEyes practice management system (through VisionWeb or a direct connection) to be integrated with paradEyes.com, enabling seamless spectacle lens ordering by maximEyes customers.
First Insight and VisionWeb first developed a seamless interface allowing users to place and track spectacle lens orders from within the maximEyes software in early 2007. The initial connectivity gave maximEyes customers access to laboratories in the Essilor Laboratories of America (ELOA) network. Based on the success of the initial launch, and requests from both VisionWeb lab suppliers and maximEyes customers, both parties agreed to expand connectivity to independent labs and labs from other networks that are electronically connected with VisionWeb’s ordering service, and are not currently directly connected with paradEyes.com.
“This agreement strengthens the relationship between VisionWeb and maximEyes and reflects our commitment to facilitating fully automated order processing for eye care providers and laboratories,” says Tom Loveless, CFO and Vice President of Business Development for VisionWeb. “We look forward to giving more maximEyes customers and VisionWeb labs the opportunity to take advantage of the efficiencies created by this practice management integration.”
“The interest level from the ophthalmic industry to expand connectivity with more VisionWeb-connected labs has never been higher,” said Nitin Rai, First Insight’s President and CEO. “Our strong alliance with VisionWeb will provide value-added services to new and current maximEyes customers, and it will further help practices enhance office efficiencies and increase productivity—giving doctors a more competitive edge.”
New lab connections will begin in the first quarter of 2009. VisionWeb-connected laboratories will be prioritized for the integration based on the number of maximEyes customers ordering to them via non-electronic methods and over all order volume. Eye care providers and VisionWeb-connected labs should contact VisionWeb Customer Service at (800) 874-6601 or email customerservice@visionweb.com to request connectivity with their lab. As new labs are connected, VisionWeb and First Insight will make announcements to their customers and list the newly connected labs on their web sites. Customers can expect the announcements to begin in the first quarter of 2009.

NSIGHT SOFTWARE LLC AND VISIONWEB ANNOUNCE ORDERING INTEGRATION IN NEWLY RELEASED MY VISION EXPRESS VERSION 6.5
Return to the Top
Miami, Florida, February 4, 2008 -- Insight Software, LLC, developer of My Vision Express software for the Eye Care industry, and VisionWeb, the online service to help eye care providers streamline and simplify their businesses, announced today the release of version 6.5 of the My Vision Express software that features complete integration with VisionWeb’s spectacle lens ordering service.
My Vision Express, a popular choice among Eye Care Professionals, now offers users the ability to submit their lab orders electronically through VisionWeb’s ordering service.
With version 6.5, My Vision Express users are given several options in lab orders submission that include Fax, Eyefinity, and VisionWeb. With the VisionWeb ordering integration, My Vision Express users can get immediate confirmation of their lab orders directly from VisionWeb. Lab orders may be submitted either individually, at the time of the order, or in batch—without ever having to leave the program. The VisionWeb integration eliminates redundant data-entry and streamlines order processing.
My Vision Express software is built on .NET enterprise-level technology and Microsoft SQL-Server, the same platform used by many multi-national corporations. Now, Insight Software, LLC has partnered with another innovator, VisionWeb, to offer this highly-functional integration at no cost to their customers. According to Insight Software’s Vipul Katyal, “the company strives to offer eyecare Professionals the most powerful yet easy-to-use software that also integrates with other established industry leaders.” VisionWeb users interested in My Vision Express should contact Insight Software at (877) 882-7456 or email at sales@myvisionexpress.com.
“VisionWeb is committed to offering technology solutions that make eyecare practices more streamlined and ultimately, more successful,” said Mike O’Malley, COO and CFO for VisionWeb. “Our integration with My Vision Express allows users to order spectacle lenses to their labs in the most convenient, accurate and efficient method possible.” My Vision Express users interested in learning more about the integration with VisionWeb’s ordering service, should contact VisionWeb Customer Service at (800) 874-6601, or email customerservice@visionweb.com.

Users taking advantage of this will benefit from paperless claims without dual data entry.
