VisionWeb Recognizes its Top Performing Optical Laboratories of the Year at the 2006 OLA Meeting

Orlando, FL – November 9, 2006 – VisionWeb, the premier provider of technology services to the optical industry, announced today the honorees for VisionWeb’s 2006 “Lab of the Year”. The VisionWeb “Lab of the Year” program, introduced in 2005, is designed to encourage and reward labs that have shown exemplary results growing and maintaining customer loyalty using VisionWeb.

This year’s honorees are Balester Optical, Wilkes Barre, PA; Custom Eyes, Inc., Sauk Rapids, MN: and Enterprise Optical, Madison Heights, MI.

To determine the top labs, VisionWeb measured each lab’s ability to convert their customers’ orders to VisionWeb from the phone, fax, or other methods, and to retain and grow their customers’ VisionWeb usage. In addition, VisionWeb measured the lab’s ability to support VisionWeb usage through marketing efforts and sales promotions. VisionWeb also added a percentage vote from VisionWeb members to the final calculations. The VisionWeb member voting process took place from June through September 2006, with nearly 1,000 votes collected. Efforts were made to ensure a level playing field for labs of all sizes, with calculations taking in to account overall lab volume versus lab size.

VisionWeb “Lab of the Year” honorees are featured in a special section of the VisionWeb site, and will receive an honorary plaque commemorating their recognition. OLA announcement marks VisionWeb’s second nomination for an Award of Excellence.

Austin, TX – August 4, 2006 – The Optical Laboratories Association announced VisionWeb’s Open Network Exchange service, VisionWeb O.N.E., is nominated for an OLA Award of Excellence in the category of Processing Materials & Tools. AOA STATE AFFILIATES EARN $19,534 IN ROYALTIES FROM VISIONWEB ORDERS

Non-Dues Revenue Awarded to American Optometric Association at 2006 Optometry’s Meeting

 Las Vegas, NV – June 23, 2006 – VisionWeb, the premier provider of technology services to streamline the eyecare practice, announced today that 26 AOA State Affiliates have earned royalties from VisionWeb orders for the period June 1, 2005 through May 31, 2006, totaling $19,534. The occasion marks the third year that AOA State Affiliates have received royalties from VisionWeb.

Under the terms of the program, AOA members can earn royalties for their State Affiliates by using VisionWeb to place their product orders. A portion of the transaction fee associated with each order (the fee paid to VisionWeb by the supplier who receives the order) is earmarked as a royalty payment to the State Affiliate that represents the ordering OD account.

“This program allows VisionWeb to support the AOA with non-dues revenue that will help the state affiliates achieve their objectives,” said Jeffrey B. Saddington, president and CEO of VisionWeb. “We’re very pleased to be able to show our support of independent optometry with this program and offer valuable services to the eyecare practice with our online ordering service.”

This year’s royalties reflect a nearly 300% increase over the royalties awarded last year and the number of states who participate in the program and receive royalties continued to climb.

VisionWeb and MSF Computing have created a seamless interface allowing users to place and track spectacle lens orders from within the IFILE, CFILE, and Vision + software.

The measurement criteria used last year measured each Lab’s ability to migrate their customers’ orders to VisionWeb from the phone, fax, or other methods, and to retain and grow their customers’ VisionWeb usage.

The new criteria will include these criteria, and a measurement of the Lab’s ability to support VisionWeb usage through marketing efforts and sales promotions, and a measurement of a percentage vote from VisionWeb members. VisionWeb Streamlines Practice Management System Integration with Introduction of RouteONE Software

VisionWeb’s RouteONE software allows eyecare providers to efficiently send orders to hundreds of laboratories utilizing office’s current practice management system

Customers simply install the RouteONE software on the same system as their practice management system or server. Working with VisionWeb, customers personalize the RouteONE software to reflect the products sold in their dispensary. Once installed and set-up, customers continue to use their practice management system to record spectacle lens product information, and RouteONE transmits the spectacle lens information to the customer designated laboratory.

Walman and VisionWeb enter an agreement that will greatly enhance the speed and efficiency of lens ordering with Walman and Soderberg Optical Laboratories
